Today is the last day to take advantage of a Columbus Day weekend enery tax holiday. Through tonight Virginia’s 5% sales tax will not be imposed on EnergyStar and WaterSense qualified products.
EnergyStar and WaterSense non-commercial qualified products costing $2,500 or less will be exempt from the sales tax. Items include Energy-saving dishwashers, clothes dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners, as well as, water saving bathroom sink faucets, faucet accessories, and toilets.
