President Barack Obama is traveling across the nation to sell his American Jobs Act to supporters and potential supporters. Obama says the act is simple: put more people back to work and put more money in the pockets of working Americans without adding a dime to the deficit.  “It’s fully paid for” says President Obama.

President Obama presented his American Jobs Act before a Joint Session of Congress on September 8, 2011 and the bill still has not been passed by the house or senate. In fact, Congress voted down a portion of the jobs plan that would have provided $35 billion to keep teachers, first responders and police working.

Will the American Jobs Act really work for Virginians? Find out at the Community Speaks Forum with guest speaker Senator Henry L. Marsh, lll on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Club Aristotle Institute 3920 Hull Street, Suite 451-H, Richmond, VA.  Also featuring special guest Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones.
