May I express my gratitude and respect for the executives at the ESPN Networks who wasted no time in dumping country singer and Tea Party follower Hank Williams, Jr, and his long-running Monday Night Football musical intro after Williams went on the FOX News network and compared President Obama to Adolph Hitler. What is huge about that is that Williams isn’t actually employed by ESPN but his MNF intro has been a staple of the broadcast for some 20 years. It is about time some major company stepped up to the plate and said enough is enough with this open-mike disrespect of the President and those in high-visibility positions should be held accountable for these public statements. “Are You Ready For Some Football?” Sadly, that was probably Williams’ biggest hit in 20 years. Thank you ESPN. Maybe other corporations who value their customers will follow suit……
