A great line-up for the second consecutive year of the Richmond Jazz Festival, and a great audience on hand for both of the main sessions to hear artists like Earl Klugh (pictured), Brian Culbertson, Spyra Gyra, Chrisette Michele, and more.  I was proud to be one of the co-hosts for this year’s event, and was blown away by the performance of the Soul Rebels Brass Band out of New Orleans.  These cats were talented and unique, playing traditional horns and a Tuba, yet punching out a sound that could rock with any R & B band.  Aside from mother nature’s occasional sprinkles over the weekend, and nice event at an iconic setting that we can only hope will continue to provide a truly “Jazzy” experience for music lovers in & around the Capital City for a long, long time.
