R&B singer Jill Scott set it off on Twitter Wednesday afternoon when she brought up the topic of open relationships and revealed that she would consider one.
Early yesterday Jill Scott kicked off an interesting conversation about relationships when she said she was considering an open relationship.
Former TLC member Chilli and actor Brian White being the most vocal, Chilli even offered to call Jill to “save” her for even considering such a mad idea.
Here are Jill Scott’s thoughts:
JILL SCOTT: What do you think about “open relationships? Been considering. Many friends are making it work. Not sure if I’m that girl but not sure if I’m not. Sometimes there’s an understanding that nobody else gets. I’m certain of what I want and deserve. Still so many marriages fail. Worth the questions. Worth the thought. For some it’s a turn on.

Ironically, neither Jill Scott, nor Chilli have had successful relationships. Some followers suggested being more open-minded.
Oscar-winner Comedian Mo’Nique made headlines last year when she admitted she and her husband have an open marriage, in which both of them can have sexual relations with others, without causing anxiety within their relationship.
Mo’Nique said: “Let me say this… I have not had sex outside my marriage with Sidney. Could Sid have sex outside of his marriage with me? Yes. That’s not a deal-breaker. That’s not something that would make us say, ‘Pack your things and let’s end the marriage.'”
