“Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane has checked into rehab, Access Hollywood has confirmed. “Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus,” a rep for the actor said in a statement to Access on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old, who plays Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan on the ABC drama, isn’t expected to miss any time on his hit series. “He reports back to work this week. Business as usual,” the statement continued.
Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart announced earlier this month that they are expecting their second child, who will join 1 year old daughter Billie Beatrice.
