2011 will be a memorable year in sports with work stoppages in the NFL and the NBA at once. While the NFL owners and players appear to be closer to a new deal, still no agreement. Meanwhile the NBA’ counterparts are far apart in their negotiations, Now comes word from Tiger Woods that his injuries will also keep him out of the British Open, the second major tournament he’s missed. The prospect of a shortened NFL season, no NBA, AND no more Tiger Woods is just too much to place on the sports fan all at once.
