After suffering through one of their worst seasons ever, Virginia State University has turned to Darryl Jacobs to turn the Trojans men’s basketball program around. Jacobs has spent the last 5 years as head coach at Clark-Atlanta where he led that program from obscurity to a national Division II power. His Clark-Atlanta team began last season ranked 25th, and finished 22-9. Jacobs takes over a Trojan team that almost missed the CIAA Tournament and also endured the longest losing streak in school history under former coach George White.
