Virginia Union Names Ex-Panther New Coach

Virginia Union University selected the 8th head basketball coach in school history yesterday, naming Luqman Jaaber, a former assistant and player for the Panthers. Jaaber, a Richmond native, was captain of Union’s 2005 national championship team and is the Panthers all-time leader in assists and steals. Jaaber replaces Willard Coker, who replaced the legendary Dave Robbins, winner of three national championships at VUU.
