“Y’all have no idea how hard I worked!” the new mom told fans during her concert at Revel Beach’s Ovation Hall in Atlantic City on Saturday night, via the Associated Press. “I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!”

“Now tonight I’m gonna get chocolate wasted!” Beyonce exclaimed.

Beyonce’s treadmill confession surely pleased concertgoer First Lady Michelle Obama (who has partnered with the singer in the past to inspire kids to exercise with her “Let’s Move!” campaign).

The First Lady enjoyed the concert with daughters Sasha and Malia, who happily danced in their seats, reports Us Weekly.

“They sat up in a private balcony with Gayle King,” according to Us Weekly. “When Beyonce told the crowd to get up and jump, [Malia and Sasha] stood and started dancing and jumping. They were shouting when Beyonce asked, ‘Do girls run the world?’

“Together, all three of them did the ‘Single Ladies’ dance moves,” a concertgoer told Us Weekly..

The video takes us back to 8 weeks ago when Beyonce started prepping for her show. From the stage meetings to the dance rehearsals. These rehearsals and meetings are what we spotted her attending in midtown Manhattan everyday when folks claimed she was going back to school to obtain her G.E.D..

Beyonce had this to say about the rehearsals:

“It is exciting. I feel a little nervous. I’m enjoying being a mother It’s like going back to my old job. Its a little strange. But it’s important that you don’t loose yourself and you still have your own passions. I’m back to work. I’m back to business.

What I’m trying to say with this show is, ‘Yes I had a baby and it just made me even more grounded and even more like you’.”

She is hands-on developing the whole show. And when the video was shot 8 weeks ago, she also reveals that she hasn’t sang in a year.

As for how her post baby body is shaping up, her second choreographer, Danielle Polanco, reveals:

“We’ll be basically warming her up trying to get her back into shape. Starting small, little baby steps. We’ll probably be reviewing some choreography at the end, stretching her out, just getting her back into motion. She hasn’t been working out in I don’t know how long.”

“I have always thought of it as something that is still holding the country back,” Jay-Z told CNN. “What people do in their own homes is their business, and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It is no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination, plain and simple.”

Husband of singer Beyonce, Jay-Z joins a growing list of celebrities and politicians who are using their fame as a platform for social change.

Jay-Z commented on President Barack Obama’s recent public support of same-sex marriage.

“I think it was the right thing to do,” Jay-Z said. “It’s really not about votes. It’s about people. So whether it cost him votes or not, I think it was the right thing to do as a human being.”

New father to 5 month old Blue Ivy Carter with wife Beyonce, Jay-Z also admitted that he’ll be taking a break from his music career to focus on being a daddy.

“I thought I would be more inspired with all the new feelings and everything that I’d have to write about, but it really happened the other way,” Jay-Z explains. ”I just really wanna hang out with her. I just wanna enjoy those moments for a bit and I’m sure that feeling of music will come back to me,” he added.

When the topic turned to children, Jay joked about his biggest parenting fears:

“Well, I mean, everyone imagines they’ll be a great dad,” stated Jay. “Until they’re teenagers saying, ‘Get away from me, Dad. You’re embarrassing me!’ Right? Everyone imagines that, right?”

Rapper/Businessman/Husband to Beyonce explained, “I imagine I’ll take things I learned from my mom and things I’ve learned from raising my nephews and apply that,” Jay continued before laughing: “Then at the end of the day, I just know I’ll probably have the worst, spoiled little kid ever.”

With all eyes on music’s royal couple and their little princess Blue Ivy, I’m sure the media will be capturing some pretty exciting moments for the public’s viewing pleasure.

The cover story chronicled her nine-month hiatus from the industry in 2010, detailing her travels with husband Jay-Z which she dubbed as a “creative reawakening.”

Essence entertainment director Cori Murray confirmed to the New York Daily News that the piece was indeed written by Beyonce, save for a few necessary corrections. “She’s a real writer,” Murray says. “We had to edit her, but everyone gets edited except Toni Morrison.”

Beyonce tops the magazine’s annual list of the “World’s Most Beautiful” in a special double issue.

Beyonce tells People: “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this Earth.”

Beyonce, who is married to rapper Jay-Z, gave birth to daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January.

“She’s just the cutest thing,” says the Grammy winner, who sings to her daughter and claims to “love” changing diapers.

When asked if Blue resembled her or dad Jay-z, Beyonce responded, “She looks like Blue.” “She’s her own person.”

“The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” Beyonce explains. “The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”

Will and Jay-Z are teaming up with singer Shakira, and Twitter founder Biz Stone to bankroll a new iPhone app called ‘Viddy’.

Viddy is a startup company that’s a lot like Instagram (a company Facebook just purchased for $1 Billion), but for videos.

It’s an easy way to share videos on mobile devices, and it even has filters to make the videos look better.

“We help people capture 15 seconds of their life,” co-founder Brett O’Brien said. “Instagram has photo features and Viddy has production packs.”

Viddy launched last year and already has about 10 million registered users. It’s one of the top free photo and video apps in the App Store, behind Instagram.

It hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Viddy though. In February it was yanked from the App Store for allowing subscribers to share too many porno videos. After 36 hours and some cleaning-up of the content, Apple reinstated Viddy.

Co-founder Brett O’Brien told the New York Times, he hopes Viddy’s famous investors will help the company become the next big thing in the app world.

So far, O’Brien’s plan seems to be working. Viddy is adding nearly 300,000 new users a day.

Jay Z already has a number of ongoing projects with Will Smith – he signed Jada & Will’s singer/actress daughter, Willow, to his Roc Nation record label in 2010, and they are currently working on re-imagining the hit musical “Annie” for the big screen.

They also previously teamed-up as co-producers to bring another top musical, “Fela!”, to the Broadway stage in 2009.

Beyonce Knowles dropped out of high school at the age of 15 to tour with Destiny’s Child.  Her dad, Matthew Knowles provided her with tutors while on the road but she never earned a high school diploma.

The world famous Beyonce Knowles has it all, a great entertainment career, married to rap/business mogul Jay-Z, a clothing line, fragrance and MOM.  I would have to say being mom to Blue Ivy is high on the list of her greater accomplishments.

Is fame, fortune and power more important than education? Beyonce doesn’t seem to think so, that’s why she was spotted with a laptop and book binder entering New York’s Alternative Education Complex known as the GED school.

Blue Ivy’s mom could receive her General Education Diploma. This diploma is an alternative to getting a regular high school diploma. However, it’s better to finish high school, as the G.E.D. is not as widely accepted as a regular diploma.

As a new mom, Beyoncé, 30, posted the emotional letter to the First Lady on her redesigned website Thursday, calling Mrs. Obama “the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African-American woman.”

“I am proud,” she wrote, underlining the word ‘proud’ twice, “to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.”

Beyoncé and rapper husband Jay-Z have a three-month-old daughter named Blue Ivy Carter.

In her letter, Beyoncé called Obama a “caring mother” and a “loving wife.”

She admires the First Lady for being “humble, loving and sincere” despite the “stress of being under the microscope.”

“She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways,” she wrote.

Beyoncé’s note, posted on Beyonce.com, gave no hint why she suddenly chose to acknowledge the First Lady’s graces.

But it appeared on the same day President Obama was quoted in an Atlantic Magazine article as saying he preferred Jay-Z to rapper Kanye West.

“Although, I like Kanye, he’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented,” the President added.

He had memorably called West a “jackass” for rudely rushing on stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards while Taylor Swift was accepting the Best Female Video award.

Asked again about that crack, the President stood by his frank assessment.

“He is a jackass,” he said. “But he’s talented.”

Beyonce has been a long-standing supporter of the Obama family. She performed Etta James’ “At Last” at President Barack Obama’s 2008 inaugural ball and teamed up with the First Lady last year for her Let’s Move campaign.
