Zoe Saldana graces the cover of the April issue of Essence magazine. The “Avatar” actress talks about her love for sex and her longtime boyfriend Keith:

S is for sex: “Love it, love it, love it—can’t live without it!” Saldana exults. “I love sex. I love skin. I don’t believe the body is something to hide. I think in American society we’re messing up our kids by taking away the education on and awareness of our sexuality and replacing it with violence, guns and video games—and we’re breeding little criminals.”

B is for boyfriend: When it comes to intimate relationships, Saldana, who currently lives with her longtime boyfriend, Keith Britton, likes to be knocked off her feet. “I’m more of a punch-drunk-love kind of girl,” she admits. “I mean punch as in that pow, that jolt, that kick in the gut. I like things that are severe, passionate and extreme.”

During the interview, she was asked yet again about the possibility of her having kids in the near future.

Beyonce may not know it, but her song “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” is now the tagline for a new public awareness campaign for female condoms.

Not the ones that flopped in the early 90s, but a new and improved ringed version recently approved by the Food & Drug Administration.

“It’s softer, it’s more affordable, it’s something women feel more comfortable using,” an official said.

The hope is that once women hear about the improved device they’ll give it a second chance — or maybe even a first.

SHOCK jock Howard Stern recently went in on Oscar-nominee Gabourey Sidibe.

“There’s the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen,” Stern said on his Sirius satellite show on Monday. “She is enormous. Everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to be in another movie.

“She should have gotten the Best Actress award because she’s never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?”

Stern and co-host Robin Quivers went on to discuss the impossibility of Gabby finding any work in Hollywood after “Precious.”

“And Oprah’s lying and saying you’re going to have a brilliant career,” said Robin.

“Oprah’s another liar, a filthy liar,” said Stern. “She’s telling an enormous woman the size of a planet that she’s going to have a career.”

The Giant-Carlisle Division of Ahold USA will close 24 Richmond-area Ukrop’s stores for one week for remodeling and renovations this spring before reopening them under the Martin’s Food Markets brand.The closing of the stores will be staggered on a rotating basis so customers can visit other stores. In-store pharmacies and banks will remain open during the renovations.

Ahold purchased the 24 Richmond stores, plus a 25th store in Williamsburg that also will be renovated, from Ukrop’s Super Markets Inc. earlier this year.

The Monarchs (26-8), who claimed their fifth CAA title, earned their third NCAA tournament berth in six years.
