Meek Mill’s not showing up for his show in Washington, D.C., tonight because he’s in jail! He may still be behind bars when his new album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, comes out later this year.

There’s no question that Meek will be going to county jail because the District Attorney is concerned about his behavior while on probation. However, it’s not clear how much time he’s getting.

According Fox 29 in Philadelphia and TMZ.com the “Levels” rapper has been sentenced to three to six months . There’s also word that Meek’s team told Karen Civil that they expect him to be out in three or four weeks.

NBC 10 in Philadelphia reports The rapper allegedly neglected to show up for meetings with his parole officer, and he seemed to have an attitude with her during the probation meetings he did attend. Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney Noel Ann DeSantis said Meek has displayed a general disrespect for the criminal justice system.

“The defendant’s clear attitude with probation while reporting on May 15, his Twitter accounts being derogatory to the probation department and this DA and others in this court system,” said Noel, “the judge found that all these are in tactical violation of probation.”

Meek’s camp spoke to TMZ, claiming that the DA only submitted the complaint that lead to his sentencing because of personal vendetta against the rapper. In the opinion, Noel isn’t interested in justice and really only wanted to sabotage’s upcoming release in September.

The lyricist himself pleaded with the judge not to put him jail because he needs to work on promoting Dreams Worth More Than Money. “This will be extremely damaging to my life,” said Meek.

The judge argued that he had no choice by to put Meek behind bars, stating, “I didn’t want to do this, but you made me do this.”
