All donations are tax deductable and will help pay for city children to have an exciting and educational summer camp experience.

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities’ summer camp program offers nine weeks of structured activities for children ages 6 – 12, Monday – Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm starting June 22 and continuing through August 21. This year’s theme is “All Board”

Children enrolled in the camp are immersed in fun activities each day that include art and cultural enrichment, health and physical education, science and environmental education, and personal and social development as well as field trips. The camp is offered at 12 department community centers throughout the city and costs $250 per child for city residents and an additional cost for non-city residents.

The annual Send-A-Kid to camp radiothon is in partnership with Richmond Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities, EnRichmond Foundation, Radio One Richmond and the Alexander Lance Booker Child Safety Foundation.
