I said earlier this week that Kansas City would have to put at least 30 on the scoreboard to have a chance against the offensively powerful Broncos.
The Washington Washington Football Team had 10 weeks to replay, review, and re-plan for the Philadelphia Eagles, who had run off to a huge lead in Game 1 before the Washington Football Team could even get a grip on what the Eagles were doing. The other problem facing the Washington Football Team is that the New York Giants have now crept slowly back into the picture after an 0 – 6 start, and have now moved into sole possession of third place while Washington is all alone in the NFC East cellar. The G-Men beat the Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay Packers come on Sunday, their 4th win, to move ahead of the Washington Football Team.. Another huge game was in New Orleans where the Saints have proved to be tough to beat. The San Francisco 49ers came to the Big Easy needing a win badly but left on the short end of a 23 – 20 loss in the SuperDome. In the AFC North, the Cincinnati Bengals knocked off their rivals, the Cleveland Browns, who were trailing Cincy by a game and a half going in, but a huge division win for the Bengals.
Pittsburgh showing no quit in the midst of a shaky season, at least by Steelers standards, and were these normal circumstances their home game against Detroit would have been a more intriguing game, but there is nothing normal about this Steelers’ season. All the Lions could do Sunday was roar in the Steel City. Another “must-see” game takes place tonight in Charlotte, NC, where the Carolina Panthers plan to make a name for themselves if they can pull out a win over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
