Virginia has an election every year which means the people’s voice should be heard on issues of healthcare, education, civil rights, justice, jobs and medicare. Every aspect of your life is decided on at the “stroke of a vote”. And, all politics are local.

The Virginia Department of Elections in partnership with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) have launched online voter registration for eligible citizens of the Commonwealth. Register to vote, check your status,  or update your information online at the Virginia Department of Elections.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2014. District polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. View the candidates on the ballot:

United States Senate

United States House of Representatives

Senate of Virginia, 16th District only

2014 Candidates for local office

CLO FACT: You are not a registered voter until you received your voter registration card in the mail.

If you were convicted of a felony and would like to start the process of getting your rights restored get information here.    For more information,  visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website.

Your vote is your voice, your right and your power. A “no” vote from you is a “yes” vote for the candidate you don’t want to hold public office. Learn about your voter rights and responsibility at Miss Community’s  Voter Empowerment and Restoration of Rights Rallies through October. Brought to you by the Rolling for Freedom-R4F.
