[Update: An adult male was pulled from the vehicle.]
Fire crews and divers from Richmond discovered a car at the bottom of James River and recovered it.
It has not yet been determined whether anybody is in the car or not.
Witnesses state that a car had been moving at top speed and then launch off the side into the water. This happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Emergency crews received a number of calls about the car going into the water close to Dock Street.
The water is roughly 30-feet deep where the car has settled at the bottom. The current is moving quickly but fire crews marked the vehicle’s location.
