First in Petersburg, it’s the 7th annual Halifax Jazz & Blues Festival, Saturday, July 13 from 5 – midnight and Sunday July 14 from 3-7pm. The concerts are held at the Historic Halifax Triangle in Petersburg adjacent to downtown. It features Touch of Class, Evolution Band & Show and others and KISS fm’s Mitch Malone of the Quiet Storm. Over in Charles City County is the Summer Music Festival tonight from 4-8pm, featuring Plunky & Oneness, Robert Jospe & Inner Rhythm, Churchyard Grass. Event is at the Charles City Social Center, 8320 Ruthville Road, Charles City, Gates opened at 2:00 p.m. Bring lawn chairs, paper fans, and coolers (no alcohol). No umbrellas. Refreshments available.
