The Virginia primary is Tuesday, June 11, 2013 and the voter polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are a registered voter in Virginia you can’t be denied to the right to vote for any reason. Register to vote or check on your voter status with Miss Community Clooovia.

In an effort to allow the community to make an informed choice and to get to know more about candidates running for elected office; for a seat in the House of Delegates for the 63rd District WCVE along with the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce will bring you the “Candidate Forum” from Tabernacle Community Life Center on May 6, 2013 beginning at 6:00pm.

Incumbent Delegate Rosalyn Dance and the challenger Evandra Thompson desire to make the public more aware of their opinions on the 63rd district where we are and where we are going.

Questions from the public may be submitted to the Petersburg Chamber and selected to be asked during the forum. Submit questions to info@petersburgvachamber.com with the subject heading “Candidate Forum” up until May 5th. Should time permit questions from the floor will be taken at the discretion of the moderator.

After the formal questioning is concluded, Bill Miller- Government Affairs Chairman of the Chamber and with WCVE – will interview the candidates, and allow them to talk more in-depth about any of the issues they wish.

Get to know the candidates, the issues, and more about your community, May 6th @ 6pm. If you wish to attend, you may do so for FREE at the Tabernacle Community Life Center, 444 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA. Doors will open at 5pm that evening.
