This week’s live broadcast of the 28th Annual Stellar Awards pulled out a ton of surprise elements from nearly every aspect of the gospel genre including a blast from the past as well as a glimpse of the what the future holds for gospel.
That scenario was proved evident in the special tribute to the late Inez Andrews (of the legendary Caravans) with musical performances from Amber Bullock and Y’Anna Crawley (both of BET’s Sunday Best) in addition to “Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of the Year” Kierra Sheard and newcomer Anita Wilson.
