Richmond, VA—Sheriff C.T. Woody, Jr. reported today the arrest of an inmate, currently being housed at the Richmond City Jail for possession of marijuana. Robin L. Hennington, 27, of Spartanburg, SC, was arrested Saturday, Dec. 15, 2013 by Richmond Police and charged with possession of Oxycodone. Hennington was in jail on that charge and was set to appear in court for her arraignment via video this morning. While she was waiting for her court appearance, sheriff’s deputies observed her in the attempt to conceal something in her sock. Deputies searched the inmate and a discovered a plastic wrapper containing a green, leafy substance. Preliminary tests showed the substance to be marijuana. Deputies charged Hennington with possession of marijuana by a prisoner, a felony. Henington is set to be arraigned tomorrow in Richmond General District Court.
