The first presidential debate was declared a victory by political pundits for Republican Presidential Nominee Governor Mitt Romney. President Obama was focused and stayed on message but the American people wanted him to be more aggressive and not assertive. There are two more presidential debates scheduled for October 16 and 22.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2012  the presidential debate is a town meeting  and the topic is Foreign and Domestic Policy. Candidates President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney will participate in the debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Time is 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. eastern. The moderator is Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent).

Citizens will ask the questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic policy. The participants are undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.

On Monday, October 22, 2012, the final presidential debate will be held at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The topic is Foreign Policy which is identical to the very first debate.  Candidates President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney will participant in the debate. The debate time is 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. eastern. The moderator is Bob Schieffer (Host of Face the Nation on CBS).

Watch the presidential debate on Tuesday with Radio One Richmond at BrickStone Grill (formerly Milestone) 9826 Midlothian Turnpike turn at the Carpool. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with a live performance from J “Plunky” Branch featuring his new “Vote” song and video. This is a free event. Come out for food and fun prior to the presidential debate.

The first presidential debate was held  three weeks ago at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. The moderator was longtime broadcaster 78 year old Jim Lehrer. This 2012 presidential debate marks the 12th time Lehrer has moderated a presidential or vice presidential debate. Lehrer tried to take control of the debate but had a few struggles with both candidates Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama’s lengthy responses to his questions on job creation, the nation’s deficit and healthcare.

Moderator Jim Lehrer presented several questions to candidates for president Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama. View the questions and then watch each candidates responses.

  • On job creation: “What are the major differences between the two of you about how you would go about creating new jobs?”
  • On the deficit: “What are the differences between the two of you as to how you would go about tackling the deficit problem in this country?”
  • On financial regulation:”What is your view about the level of federal regulation of the economy right now? Is there too much? And in your case, Mr. President, is there—should there be more?”
  • On Social Security: “Do you see a major difference between the two of you on Social Security?”
  • On the role of government: “Do you believe there’s a fundamental difference between the two of you as to how you view the mission of the federal government?”
