New reports indicate Gospel music icon and King’s Men Tour mastermind Kirk Franklin, known for his millions of records sold and chart-topping hit singles since his leading the careers of urban contemporary gospel choirs such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew, is actually the richest artist in Gospel music history with a net worth of $8.5 million according to therichest.org.

Franklin, now 42, debuted in the early 1990s and has since won multiple awards, including seven Grammy Awards, an American Music Award; 35 Stellar Awards; 12 Dove Awards (CCM); five NAACP Awards; 2 BET Music Awards, a Soul Train Award and numerous others. Franklin has led the Gospel music industry for 16 years as the top-selling artist and was even the recipient of the 2012 BMI Trailblazer of Gospel award alongside Bishop Hezekiah Walker.

As a multi-talented songwriter and producer, Franklin has achieved colossal success year after year with each new project he puts forward.
