The 2012 NFL season enters Week Three with six undefeated teams, including Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, and Arizona.   The 49ers and the Texans look superior early, while the Falcons and Chargers have been a surprise.   In fact, they will play each other this weekend in San Diego, so that will be one less undefeated team in the league come Sunday.   Other interesting games include New England at Baltimore, Pittsburgh at Oakland, and the Cincinatti at Washington game will be telling of the Washington Football Team’s makeup after losing key defensive players.

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll stuck his neck out there when he chose Richmond native Russell Wilson as the team’s starting QB for the 2012 NFL season, giving Wilson the nod over Matt Flynn, who had been courted and brought in from Green Bay with an $8 million price tag to take over as the Seahawks new leader. After Sunday’s 27 – 7 thrashing of the Dallas Cowboys, Carroll must be feeling like a genius as Wilson performed admirably in only his second pro start. The Collegiate grad will lead the ‘Hawks into Monday night’s game against the powerful Green Bay Packers.

The Washington Washington Football Team not only lost to the team holding their future first-round draft picks, not only did they lose two key defensive stars in LB Brian Orakpo and DE Adam Karriker for the season, but they also saw WR Josh Morgan lose his cool, which resulted in a 15-yard penalty that essentially blew any chance to tie or perhaps win the game at St. Louis. Maybe it’s a small controversy, but Morgan is beginning to discover the wrath of the rabid Washington Football Team phanatics after he received death threats via Twitter this week. Ironically, Morgan is a DC native, but that’s no help after a “bonehead” play.   Also, QB Robert Griffin III has been complaining all week about the St. Louis Rams’ rough-house treatment last Sunday, not wise in the NFL.   Defensive linemen love to hear a QB whining about being hit, that’s a motivational tool,

In Philadelphia, Michael Vick and the Eagles overcame the Baltimore Ravens to remain undefeated and alone atop the NFC East.   The Eagles head west for a date Sunday against the unbeaten Arizona Cardinals in Phoenix.
