George Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’ Mara has sent subpoenas to all schools Trayvon Martin attended in the Miami area. The request includes access to disciplinary records, absences, tardiness and suspensions. Martin was suspended by Miami-Dade schools because traces of marijuana were found in a sandwich bag in his book bag. He was shot by Zimmerman while on suspension.
Zimmerman wants more evidence to prove he acted lawfully under Florida’s “stand your ground” law.
Will Trayvon Martin’s code of conduct in school help or hinder Zimmerman’s murder case? Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense.
