KISS – FM celebrates the birthdays of our favorite celebrities every week, and for this week, June 25th – July 1st, we wish a Happy Birthday to actor/comedian Jimmie Walker, who made J. J. Evans a household family member in the old TV sitcom “Good Times”. Jimmie was 63 on Monday, June 25th. Also celebrating on Monday was singer George Michael, formerly of Wham, he’s 49, while Justice Sonja Sotomayor, the first Latino ever selected to the US Supreme Court, turned 58.
On Tuesday, June 26th, Philadelphia Eagles QB and Newport News native Michael Vick turned 31, and NY Yankees slugger Derek Jeter was 37. Also celebrating on Tuesday was KISS – FM’s afternoon host, the Bad Boy of Radio, Michael Baisden, who is now 49 years old. Khloe Kardashian, reality Tv star and wife ofr NBA star Lamar Odom, celebrated her 27th birthday on Wednesday, June 27th. Sharing that date with Khloe is Gabi Wilson, the sensational teen prodigy who as a singer and musician, has been often compared to Alicia Keys. Gabi turned 14 years old on Wednesday.
On Thursday, June 28th, former Denver Broncos QB and NFL Hall of Famer John Elway was 51. Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson will be 45 on Saturday, June 30th, while Olympic swimmer and Virginia native Michael Phelps turns 25, and 2004 American Idol winner Fantasia celebrates her 27th birthday Saturday.
Plenty of birthday parties on Sunday, including hip-hop icon and Portsmouth native Missy Elliott, who turns 40 on Sunday, July 1st. Also sharing that date is former track star Carl Lewis, who’s 50, former Baywatch Beauty Pamela Anderson will be 48, and actor Dan Akroyd, who has so many great movies to his credit, will celebrate his 59th birthday on Sunday as well.
