Singer Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has landed her first acting gig on television.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brown will appear in the TBS comedy series Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse in a recurring role.

In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Brown explained that she wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps and “carry on the legacy.”

“We’re gonna do the singing thing,” Brown told Winfrey. “Some acting, some dancing.”

TBS has ordered 35 additional episodes of “For Better or Worse,” which centers on the ups and downs of marriage and dating. The comedy stars Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith.

“For Better or Worse” debuted in November with its first 10-episodes, and is scheduled to return this summer. It is Perry’s third series with TBS, joining “House of Payne” and the recently cancelled “Meet the Browns.

Perry delivered a moving speech at Whitney Houston’s funeral in New Jersey in February.
