Actors Eugene Levy, Romeo Miller and Denise Richards will star alongside director/actor Tyler Perry in the hit filmmaker’s latest film project, Madea’s Witness Protection.

The movie begins shooting in Atlanta next week and again features Perry as the gun-toting, sassy-mouthed character.

Levy will play a man who, after his investment company goes belly up due to embezzling, is put in witness protection with his family, which is forced to move from a wealthy Connecticut neighborhood to Madea’s home in the South. Richards is set to play Levy’s wife. Miller will play a man who believes Levy is responsible for his church’s investments being wiped out and wants to take the law into his own hands.

Perry wrote the script, is directing, and produces the film.

Levy is well known from his father role in the American Pie films.

Miller, who is known for his rap work under his stage name Romeo, last appeared in Jumping the Broom.

Richards is coming off an arc on NBC’s 30 Rock and last year and her autobiography The Real Girl Next Door hit the New York Times best-seller charts. Richards also recurs on the TV sports comedy Blue Mountain State.

Perry’s next film as writer-director-star, Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds, is set for release February 24 from Lionsgate.
