Singer Mary J. Blige thinks the Oscars aren’t showing her any love.

When the nominees for the 84th Annual Academy Awards were announced, Blige and her song “Living Proof” from the film The Help wasn’t named.

The single appeared to be a frontrunner in the Best Original Song category. To the shock of many, including Mary, this year’s Oscar race only includes two singles from the children’s films Rio and The Muppets. Five original songs are usually nominated.

Blige immediately took to Twitter to complain about being passed over. She wrote, “I’m so thankful for true fans like you all. It saddens me & feels like the Academy is being mean. 2 only nominate 2 of the 5 slots is…” The singer later retweeted the countless disappointed reactions she received from fans.

The Help did earn several other major nominations, including Viola Davis for Best Actress and Octavia Spencer for Best Supporting Actress and Best Picture.
