Singer Robin Thicke is days away from the release of his fifth studio album, “Love After War,” an album the sexy crooner says is reflective of the life-changing experience of becoming a father.

The singer and his wife, “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” actress Paula Patton are parents to 20-month-old Julian Fuego, and Robin admits that while their young one is “the greatest thing that has ever happened” to him, the couple hit a few rough patches while adjusting to having a child.

“It was hard when we became parents, because we had to balance our careers with this new person in our lives,” Robin told People magazine at an Art Basel event in Miami on Friday.

“I lost my mojo for awhile. But finally we hit a rhythm, and we are more in love than ever and so supportive of each other,” he continued. “We’re both crazy about our son.”

With Paula globetrotting to promote “M:I 4” and Robin preparing for his latest album launch, the power pair is missing their little one.

“This is the longest either Paula or I have been away from Julian and it is hard for both of us,” he told the mag, adding that Paula’s mom is taking care of Julian in their absence. “We talk to him constantly on Skype, and he seems to understand his parents are off doing their thing, which is good for him.”

Fortunately, the trio will soon be reunited as Robin heads to California.

“In two weeks, I fly to Los Angeles and grab him so we can be together in New York for his mother’s movie premiere,” he said. “We are all about family.”
