Tyler Perry always seems to be one step ahead of the game with new projects, new TV shows and new movies steadily in the works. During the intense filming of his forthcoming film “The Marriage Counselor” based on the stage play of the same name, Perry has begun to shoot his role in the reboot of James Patterson’s detective series, titled I, Alex Cross.
The movie is reportedly a far cry for the “Madea” star who isn’t afraid to sport wigs, tote handbags and house dresses a few times a year to keep us in side-splitting laughter. This film is a much darker film project for Perry who will be taking over for Morgan Freeman.
I, Alex Cross sees him step into the famous detective’s shoes and chronicles his progress as he tracks down a serial killer. Not the usual you expected right? Check out more on the role and the project via the links and clip below. Let us know if you plan to catch this one in theaters.
