A golf fan has been arrested for throwing a hot dog at Tiger Woods during a tournament in California.
Woods was taking part in the Frys.com Open at CordeValle course on Sunday (Oct. 09) when a man burst out of the crowd and threw a frankfurter at him as he was preparing to putt.
Security guards immediately pounced and the man was subsequently arrested.
Woods subsequently told reporters he was baffled by the bizarre incident: “I guess he wanted to be in the news. And I’m sure he will be… I was kind of focusing on my putt when he started yelling. Next thing I know he lay on the ground, and looked like he wanted to be arrested because he put his hands behind his back and turned his head. When I looked up, the hot dog was already in the air. He was pretty far away from me.”
