While NBA stars contimue to ponder their next move, there is chatter among veteran players, led by New York Knicks star Amare Stoudamire, that if the lockout continues, they will start seriously discussing starting “A League Of Their Own”. In fact, Stoudamire says that topic is already under discussion, although no serious details have been put on the table. While it’s an interesting thought, perhaps the players have not considered what the actual blueprint for such a move would entail. Let’s just say it ain’t gonna be that simple. With many of the NBA’s stars already signed, sealed and delivered overseas, there could be more to follow as the league has cancelled the first two weeks of the regular season, and there’s no sense of either side blinking any time soon.
