The Real Housewives of New York City is going to be fashionably late this season.

Production on the fifth season of the Bravo series has been pushed back due to some scheduling issues, according to E! News.

The NYC matrons also got bumped earlier this year when shooting on season four ran long and their February season premiere was pushed back to April in favor of the series premiere of The Real Housewives of Miami.

Coming on the heels of the death in the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills family, the new delay of course prompted speculation that the two are connected…

Which they are not.

“The shoot schedule for RHNYC was pushed due to production details that needed to be finalized and there is absolutely no correlation between RHNYC and RHBH production concerns,” a source connected to the show told E! News.

And boy are there production concerns over in Beverly Hills.

The decision has not been formally handed down yet on whether or not to postpone RHBH’s Sept. 5 premiere, but there is some scrambling going on in the editing room as far as the show’s portrayal of Russell Armstrong goes.

Taylor Armstrong’s estranged husband was found dead one week ago in his Mulholland Drive home after hanging himself. His widow is planning to hold a memorial for him in town, then his remains will be transported to Texas, where his relatives are also planning a funeral service.

As for the NYC issues, a castmember told the Huffington Post that they were supposed to start shooting on Labor Day. Then, go-time was pushed to Sept. 8, she said, and now as far as she knows they won’t start until three weeks after that.
