“Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek morphed into a superhero and chased a burglar through a San Francisco hotel before falling and snapping his Achilles tendon.

Tribek described his surprise when he woke up to the sounds of a woman rifling through his things as he slept next to his wife around 3 a.m.

The spry 71-year-old, wagering he could handle the thief, chased her down the hall. He injured his leg during the chase, he said, but he and his wife managed to contact hotel security and help apprehend the suspect.

Cops later arrested 56-year-old Lucinda Moyers and charged her with receiving stolen property, a San Francisco Police spokesman said.

She stole wallets, purses, cash and a bracelet, cops said. Some of the stolen items were recovered near an ice machine on one of the floors in the hotel.

It’s unclear how the suspect got into the room, police said.

Trebek saw a doctor after the break-in and continued with his duties moderating the National Geographic event for students from around the globe.

He’s expected to undergo surgery later this week.

“He’s doing fine. He’ll be back on set for our next taping next Tuesday,” show spokesman Phil Zimmerman said,
