The NBA Playoffs are down to the conference finals, a strange setting out west without the defending champs, the Los Angeles Lakers, who were ousted by Dallas. The Mavericks open their series with new kids on the block, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on Wednesday. The Miami Heat celebrated their semi-final win over Boston as if they had won the championship. Maybe just a bit premature now that the Chicago Bulls hold a 1-0 lead in the Eastern finals over the Heat. Game 2 set for Tuesday in the Windy City.
